My Story

Nehanda Helmker is a Belizean born English teacher that grow up partially in United States and Belize, where she was born. Living in Germany and being married to a German, has helped her to improve and understand how German speakers learn English.

“As an English teacher”, I have a passion for learning and languages and have taught English and English Literature at High school level for 13 years. Then I switched to Telecommunications and worked with several companies in sales and customer service where I built focus groups aimed at improving performance and sales. I also worked as a Team Lead, where I helped to train costumer service representatives in handling disgruntle customers and selling to potential customers. In this capacity I developed some “soft skills” training packages. These were developed out of the focus groups at my job and later became the best practice of the company.

My Values & Beliefs



My concept focuses on the individual learning style of my clients as well as their personal language needs. I create many lessons that are goal oriented to the help my clients improve their English and English comprehension. This concept is different from your typical classroom setting, and more intuitive than using an app because it focusses on what each outcome per lesson is in order to give the client the best possible lesson in the feature and omits unnecessary information and exercises. We do this by optimizing and giving feedback to each individual person at the end of the class, along with weekly reviews and monthly reports, if necessary.

Language focus groups

The Language focus groups are design for group learning. We place individual learners in a group with other on the same level and begin the learning and engaging process. This is especially good for people who like to learn in a group and help you to think of ideas and or problems from the perspective of others that one may not think if alone. In a group session you have the support of your peers and have more people to help you problem solve.
